Everyday, Master Technician Dan rides to Wilkins from Danville, VT. He enjoys the view of the ride and suggests to see it in the Fall when the leaves have changed.
In between Wilkins and Danville is the Marshfield Dam. Also known as Mollys Falls Pond. Molly’s Falls Pond is a reservoir located just 14.8 miles from Barre, VT. The reservoir offers plenty of opportunity to swim, fish and boat. On the shoreline you may see wildlife such as moose, deer and the Common Loon.
At the reservoir there are 8 unofficial remote campsites at the park, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The boat launch has 2 fishing platforms, plus a nearby port-o-potty. Swimming is allowed off the shoreline, but is restricted at the boat launch. Additionally, there are 4 remote picnic sites.
On US-2 in Danville, there is a great scenic overview of the town and Dan suggests going to Joes Pond and Marty's 1st Stop gas station.
