The 2025 Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine delivers serious performance, cranking out 120 ft-lbs of torque and 98 horsepower. Harley-Davidson calls this a “Classic” engine variant, also featured in the 2025 Street Bob, but don’t let the name fool you—this powerhouse brings plenty of innovation. While it retains its dual counterbalancers, rigid mounting, and signature 45-degree V-Twin design, it introduces several major upgrades. These include all-new cylinder heads with a 10.3:1 compression ratio, a redesigned intake with oval intake ports and a 58mm throttle body, and an improved cooling system. The addition of a new 2-1 exhaust and round air cleaner further enhances performance, optimizing both rideability and throttle response. Compared to last year’s Milwaukee-Eight 114, the 117 boasts a 4% increase in torque and 1% more horsepower, making it a standout for riders seeking more power and smoother performance.

Enhanced Tech

The 2025 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic gets a major tech upgrade with selectable ride modes—Road, Rain, and Sport—allowing riders to customize power delivery, engine braking, and safety system intervention for different riding conditions. Sport mode, tailored to each engine variant, maximizes performance for an exhilarating ride.

In addition, the 2025 Heritage Classic features Harley-Davidson’s latest Integrated Rider Safety Enhancements, including:

• ABS brakes (optimized for both straight-line and cornering performance)
• Traction Control System (TCS) (enhanced for straight-line and cornering stability)
• Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DTSCS) (reduces rear-wheel slip for smoother deceleration)
